New ASUS AIO Transformer. Oh, it’s also a tablet.

With the push towards more powerful AIOs and tablets, ASUS have decided you can have both in one device.
At their press conference today ASUS announced the new ASUS Transformer AIO. ASUS seem to want to convert everything to a ‘Transformer’, and this device is no exception. As an AIO it sits with a dock containing a powerful system behind it using discrete graphics and an Ivy Bridge processor.
As a ‘tablet’, it comes with a slide out wedge to use on a surface at an angle. The Transformer AIO will also be dual OS – both Android and Windows 8, and should seamlessly switch between them both. In tablet mode, this means using a remote desktop-like interface to be able to do your work away from the dock but still access all your media. The AIO should also ship with an additional power unit for when it is used in tablet mode.
ASUS were not forthcoming with specifications – size of the AIO (though 24” and 27” wouldn’t be out of the question), the type of display, or the battery life of the device when it is out of the dock.

17" would be huge for a pad, but you could handle it: Take the screen to the coffee table, put it on a table to look at documents together, things like that.But what's up with the 27'' indicated in the article? Does it come with a Sherpa to carry it? Can it transform into a tanning bed? What do you touch it with, when you need both hands just to hold it?

Sorry Asus, you lost me with the prime. I've endured four browser hangups just to get to a point where I can post comment. There is a very real risk of my screen cracking because of the huge amount of pressure the dock exerts on the glass. The wifi on this thing is atrocious, and their solution was to release a firmware that now results in more battery being used for Wifi than the screen. The gps was doa for every tablet they shipped, their solution an external dongle that will hopefully be at my place when I finish the trip I needed GPS for...The problems never end, my patience however is beyond finished. Never again asus.

Also a fellow prime user, 2 things to mention about your points:* your wifi connection issues might be resolved using a different access point / router. I had atrocious reception using an all-in-one modem-router, but not so on other devices than the prime. I replaced it with a linksys router and wifi reception for the prime improved tremendously, up to the point it is no issue for me anymore. The trigger to try this venue was much improved reception at other people's houses.
* browser hangups are a real annoying issue, I'm in the same boat. It is something that was not present in the original firmware and I'm silently hoping for them to fix it as it is clearly just software related.
I don't see your issue with the dock pressure on the glass, am not experiencing it. GPS I also don't use but for some applications this is an issue, correct.

Dude install chrome, it is completely separate from the base browser.
