Having addressable RGB LEDs in a PC is one thing, and having OLED panels on various components is another. There is a fine line between the two, especially when it comes to utility – or rather, how much of it is needed at all? If there were to be an uncanny valley between the two extremes, then InWin has perhaps the answer: 144 RGB LEDs on the front panel that can be configured to display icons, animations, and perhaps messages.
If we assume that pictures say a thousand words, then what you see here is all I need to say. Aside from the full RGB range, the front panel can display small pre-programmed animations or implement custom designs using the GLOW software. The software comes with 11 pre-programmed outputs, such as ‘candle’, ‘vortex’, ‘clock’, ‘hourglass’, or ‘time tunnel’.
For anyone who is a fan of pixel art, this might be a fun case to get. Personally I thought most of the pre-programmed modes were pretty poor, but the hearts and the Pacman ghost visuals were certainly in the right style for a case like this. There is also a top-panel microphone that can enable the front panel to react to volume or frequency of certain noises.
InWin expects the case to be available in Q4, with a price range around $250-$300.

Wrong question the real question is: can it run doom. ReplyDanNeely - Tuesday, June 19, 2018 - link
Stop marching to insanity by inches and just integrate a >100 DPI display with an hdmi/displayport input on the front and be done with it. Replykoaschten - Tuesday, June 19, 2018 - link
Pfff I had a 5" 320x240 display in my Chieftech CS601 in ... the late 90s? ReplyDanNeely - Tuesday, June 19, 2018 - link
I'd suggest a full size display that you could game on fitted to the side, but that'd interfere with showing off all the frag harder lights vomited all over every internal component. ReplyIan Cutress - Tuesday, June 19, 2018 - link
Project Snowblind from iBuyPower is basically that. Replyboeush - Tuesday, June 19, 2018 - link

This reminds me of Sony's Jumbotron, which were also slabs of RGB LEDs Replyzoxo - Tuesday, June 19, 2018 - link
As long as people buy it, they will make it. Personally I hate lighting on components, but apparently there is a huge market for it. ReplyPeachNCream - Tuesday, June 19, 2018 - link
