You might be on the cusp of a modding community idea that adds plumbing and a fridge that connects to your favorite grocery and food delivery services so leaving said chair becomes totally unneccessary. Then again, pressure ulcers are nasty business so maybe stagnation to that degree isn't such a hot idea.
I may be wrong, but I believe that is the first edition one. I seem to recall last year mention that an upcoming one would lose some of the features but be much cheaper so I think this article is talking about the cheaper one.
This is essentially just metal tubing welded together and panels put on it.
Remember those Console desks that got discontinued that was so popular? They was made for medical/media desks so everything is adjustable...since they got discontinued i found out how to make them on own. So the $1200 desk, can buy all the parts for $400 and put together in a day. Now you have a desk that will last you FOREVER. No joke, i've had this desk for 13 years now.
Curved deskspace for 2x 35 inch monitors, or 3x 27inch ones if you are into those weird sizes. Has arm in back to ad 2-3 more monitors if you want above the others. Adjustable keyboard tray (also curved like desk holds keyboard, big ass mousepad/phone/drink. Oh and by adjustable..you can adjust in in 1/8 of a inch at a time..with just touch of a pinkey finger.
Desk has 6 wheels, with locks on them to keep it nice and sturdy. Metal tubing alows for expansion if you want. Moving? Comes about in 2 pieces to move.
I have no idea why they stopped making the desk, the company got bought out and started moving towards the dumb "standing desk" "small carts for medical offices" type of desks. If they marked the desks towards Gamers instead of big companies they would of sold a lot more.
Why is it so hard to find a modern desk like this one on market anymore??
Console desks started losing popularity along the same demand curve of notebooks started displacing desktops. Also, they were never that popular to begin with. People want drawers and sitting desks that can fit into corners.
