Would be cool if this thing folded like a 3-page brochure, and when it's closed, it's the size of a small keyboard (about half the size of a laptop).

I look forward to the days we can get a good roll-out screen+keyboard for <$100, and just use a smartphone with that.

Might be better just to fold from left to right, you'd end up with a 14" laptop inside a 9" frame. Almost achieves the dream of carrying a full laptop around in your pocket.

Or is that exactly what they did here? Haha, well, can't edit my comment now.

At that point, I would rather have a smart glasses or an earpiece projector that projects a screen in front of your face

I'm pretty shocked to be honest that the battery is only good for 11 hours. 50Wh is quite large given the device size; it's only 1Wh smaller than the Dell XPS 13 2in1. On top of that, Lakefield should be a significantly more power efficient CPU than standard Icelake. But the XPS 13 2in1 looks to average 12 to 13 hours in Anandtech's tests, despite having the more power hungry SoC. I wonder if the pOLED display isn't very power efficient or if there's some other strange reason.

OLED is always significantly less efficient than decent LCD.

Agreed. I would, on a personal level still like to believe that Gadgets with LCD serves better purpose than those with OLED

*Forgets that the keyboard needs to come off and closes the lid*

This seems interesting, and very expensive.

It's clear they wanna follow iPhone path, replacing the keyboard with a bigger display and adding SIM.

I wonder if some phone features will be available, or if it will only be used for Internet. If the latter, it will be sad, because now all phones support hotspot and the simplest mobile service is very expensive.
